Ministries

All of us are important and necessary in Christ's body; which is the Church.

You are warmly invited to become active in one of our many ministries.

Let us serve one another so our light in Christ may shine and others may give glory to God.

Eucharistic Ministers

Eucharistic Ministers prayerfully serve the people of Holy Family by distributing the Body and Blood of Christ during Eucharistic celebrations.  If you are interested in serving, you must be a fully initiated Catholic, having celebrated the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and First Eucharist.  For more information on becoming a Eucharistic Minister, contact the rectory office at (585) 237-2625.

Lector

The ministry of lector is one of the most visible roles of service at liturgy.  Our parish appreciates all of you who are willing to take that ministry seriously and with great dignity.  Lectors should have received their First Holy Communion and be living a good sacramental life in good standing with the Catholic Church.  To join the team of Lectors, contact:  John Foote (St. Mary’s site) at 585-493-2701 or via e-mail jandjfoote@gmail.com; Betsy Colón (St. Joseph’s site) at (585) 237-5136 or via e-mail at cococolon11@gmail.com.

Music

Music is an essential part of the liturgical life of the parish. Saint Augustine says, The one who sings, prays twice. If you feel a strong call to share your faith through the giving of your time and talent to our music program, there are multiple opportunities available, please contact the parish rectory at (585) 237-2625, or via e-mail at parishofstisidore@gmail.com. Instrumentalists that play on an “as needed” basis are welcome throughout the year.

Religious Education

Religious Education Classes are held from September through May of each year, for grades K-6 at St. Mary's and grades 1-6 plus Confirmation at St. Joseph's.  To register your child for classes, contact Karen Almeter (585) 322-7252 for St. Mary's, or Janet Bonarski (585) 237-2666 for St. Joseph's.
